Bio
I grew up in a very small town in Alabama called Lineville. My parents and most of my relatives still live there. I attended Southern Union Junior College and earned an associate degree. I then transferred to Jacksonville State University and earned a BA in Education, MA in Education, and Education Specialist (EdS). I moved to Carroll County in 1997 for my first teaching job right out of college. After working a few years here, I decided this was the place for me to settle down so I bought a house in Villa Rica and I have never regretted that decision. I hope to retire from teacher without changing schools because I love the students, faculty, and community so much. I have taught just about every math class and every grade level that has been offered here over the years, but I have spent most of my time teaching the 11th grade Algebra II classes.
I have a yellow tabby named Brady who demands my attention once I get home. I am an avid needlepointer so most of my summer is spent stitching until my shoulders give out. One interesting fact about myself is that I am trying to get to all of the major league baseball parks (I have been to 28 out of 30 so far). Yes, I support the Atlanta Braves (even when they have a losing season) and enjoy baseball greatly. There is nothing like being in the ballparks and experiencing all the activities inside that are never shown on TV, watching the game from great seats, and eating all the different kinds of ballpark food available to you.
