I'm originally from Mississippi where I attended Mississippi State University. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English, and a minor in History.

Despite these other interests, ELA is my passion. I absolutely love helping students learn to improve their rhetorical skills, improve their communication skills, and better navigate the complicated world around them. Both of my parents were teachers, so I feel as though I was born into the profession. 

Additionally, I am happy to be one of the coaches of the Mock Trial team here at VRHS as well as assist with other extracurricular clubs. 

I have been teaching since 2014; I'm gifted and AP certified and have had the blessing of learning from some of the absolute best teachers I have ever known over the last 11 years. I hope that I can take what I've learned about ELA, teaching, and life and use it to help my students each day.
