  • Coppin State University: Masters Degree, Curriculum and Instruction/Reading

I am currently in my 26th year of teaching.  I have taught special education, EIP, 1st and 4th grades.  This is my first year at the high school level, and I am excited about reconnecting with former students.

I am a 16 year resident of Villa Rica, and this is my 14th year teaching in the Villa Rica Cluster.  I may not be Wildcat born, but I definitely bleed purple and gold!! My husband Greg and I have been married for 25 years, and we have 2 children, both of whom graduated from VRHS.  Our daughter Karlie recently graduated from Georgia Southern University, where she obtained a degree in Outdoor Recreation. She is currently living in Balsam, NC, where she works for S.O.A.R. Academy, a private boarding school specialized for students with different learning disabilities.  Our son, Chad, is a Sophomore at the University of Alabama, where he is majoring in Civil Engineering. In our spare time, we enjoy camping trips and cheering on the UGA Bulldogs during college football season.
