Bio

My name is Morris Mitchell and I am so glad to rejoin the Wildcat Family this year. I am from Villa Rica, GA, where I attended Villa Rica High School as four-year letter winner in football, basketball and track. Upon graduating from VRHS, I obtained a football scholarship to Bluefield College. After a semester at Bluefield, I transferred to West Hills Community College in California, where I obtained an Associates degree in Humanities while playing football for the Falcons. Following my time at WHCC, I transferred to Shorter University where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Communication. After a successful college football career, I pursued a professional career in Canada. After being cut by the Edmonton Eskimos in Mini-camp, I took my talents to the National Arena League, where I played for the Georgia Firebirds. After, the completion of my professional career, I decided to become an educator in the Henry County Schools system. I was ISS instructor as well as a football and track coach in the Union Grove cluster. After one year with the Wolverine family, I received the opportunity to come back to my alma mater, where I will be co-teaching English and coaching football and track. I look forward to giving back to the community that made me who I am and providing an example and mentorship to the next generation. Thank you VRHS and the Villa Rica community for allowing me the opportunity to impact our youth.
