I graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana in 1980 with a Bachelors of Music.

I received my Masters Degree from University of Phoenix in 2004.

I have 30 years experience as a music educator. I began my career in Rushville, Illinois as a K-12 Music and Chorus teacher.  Since moving to Georgia with my husband in 1983, I have taught Choral Music in Coweta County, Carroll County, Carrollton City Schools and Douglas County.  I have been the Choral Director at Villa Rica High School since 2008.  I can say with all sincerity, there is no better place to be than VR!

I grew up in a little town in Illinois called Oblong.  My mother was an outstanding pianist, so I got my passion for music from her.  I attended DePauw University, then began my teaching career in Rushville, Illinois, where I met and married the high school guidance counselor.  We moved to Georgia to be near his family in 1983.  We raised four children together.  I now have four grandchildren.  When I am not busy directing my choirs or playing the piano at Concord UMC, I am most likely spending time with my wonderful family.
