The Villa Rica High School JROTC participated in the Veterans' Day Observance at Bay Springs Middle School on Friday morning.

At Villa Rica High School, the day began with a reading over the intercom about the history of Veterans' Day and students observed the moment of silence in honor of Veterans.  Throughout the day, students learned about the different branches of the Armed Forces. Each Armed Forces' theme song was played as students changed classes, which was then followed by information over the intercom about the branch of the Armed Forces being honored.  Students also learned that three teachers and staff members at VRHS are among the rank of Veterans.

At 2:11pm, VRHS staff and students joined the nation in observing the official Veterans' Day Moment of Silence, remembering those who gave their lives for their country.

In classrooms, lessons were taught using Armed Forces video montages, the Medal of Honor character education program, Green Light a Vet, and the History Channel.
