Mrs. Evans has been a media specialist since 2001.  Before becoming a media specialist, she was a Language Arts and Science teacher in the Carroll County School System for eight years. She began her media specialist career at Villa Rica High School, and after moving away to Fannin County for several years, was thrilled to return in 2015 as a VRHS Wildcat!

Interests:

Mrs. Evans enjoys many hobbies: reading (of course!), biking, hiking, camping, traveling, photography, genealogy and the study of history are just a few of her interests.  She also collects motivational quotes.  One of her favorite things to do as a librarian is to find that "perfect book" for students and help develop a love of life-long learning.

Quotes about books and libraries:

"You cannot open a book without learning." ~ Confucius

"What can I say? Librarians rule." ~ Regis Philbin

"The only thing that you absolutely have to know is the location of the library." ~ Albert Einstein

"I have always thought that librarians are a little bit like doctors, travel agents and professors, all rolled into one. We all know that a great story can lift spirits, take you anywhere in the world you want to go and in any time period to boot, and the lessons you learn from a good book can buoy your own convictions and even change your life." ~ Dorothea Benton Frank
