Annie Butler is an honor graduate of Central High School and graduated from the University of Georgia Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in sports business.  After graduating from college, she worked for the Atlanta Braves, Canongate Golf Clubs, and the Atlanta Silverbacks in sales.  She felt a desire to help children and make a difference in others’ lives, so she decided to enter the field of education.  Annie obtained her teaching certificate through the GaTAPP program and currently serves as an ambassador for the GaTAPP program.  She has continued to further her education by obtaining her Master’s and Specialist’s degrees in curriculum and instruction.  This is her fifteenth year at Villa Rica High School teaching science and she was the 2013 and 2022 Teacher of the Year.  She serves as the science department chair and the senior class sponsor.
