Patrice Gates stands proudly next to her State Championship-winning distance of 118 feet in the Discus event at the Girls' State Track and Field Meet in Albany, Georgia, where she took first place in both the Discus and the Shot Put events.  Although only a sophomore, Patrice has made a name for herself not only locally (taking first place in the Discus and second in the Shot Put as a freshman at the 2007 Girls' State Track Meet), but nationally as well, where earlier this year she set a national sophomore record in the Weight Throw at the Simplot Games in Idaho.  Congratulations, Patrice!!!

Conratulations to Tyler Pike (left), who was awarded the Spirit of Thespis Award; Nicolette Templier (center), who was awarded Best Actress; and to Tobee Jefferson (right), who was awarded Best Actor for the 2007-2008 school year.
