Witte Signs With UWG



Villa Rica High School infielder Andrew Witte signs his Letter of Intent to continue his baseball career with the University of West Georgia.  Andrew had a break-out season his sophomore year at VRHS, finishing the season by being named the Times-Georgian Newcomer of the Year.  He followed that with an incredible, award-filled junior year when he was honored again by the Times-Georgian, this time being named their 2011 Times-Georgian Player of the Year.  In addition, Witte was the runner-up All-Region Player of the year in Region 5AAAA while being named to the Region 5AAAA All-Region Team, and he was chosen as Offensive MVP of the Wildcats, hitting .446 with seven home runs, eight doubles, and a school-record 44 RBI while fielding various positions in the infield and even getting time on the mound.  Shown with Andrew are (front row, left to right) Tracey Copeland, mother; Andrew Witte, signee; and Steve Copeland, father; (back row, left to right) Adam Herring, VRHS principal and Jay Sneddon, VRHS head baseball coach.

Debose Signs With Savannah State University

Allen Signs with Lane College



Villa Rica High School quarterback Marcus Allen signs his Letter of Intent to continue his football career with Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee.  While attending Lane College, Marcus plans to major in Criminal Justice.  Marcus, an honor student, lettered four years in football at VRHS, and he also participated in basketball his freshman year and baseball his sophomore year.  Marcus was named All-Region Second Team Quarterback in 2011, and he was featured numerous times in the Times-Georgian for his outstanding performances in football and was titled as the Wildcats’ “Cat Caller”.  In his junior year, he was named Player of the Game (Douglas County vs. VRHS) and received Honorable Mention throughout Carroll County.  In his senior year, he received the Pig Pen Player of the Week (Luella vs. VRHS).  During his 2011 senior year, he threw for over 600 yards and rushed for over 600 yards.  Marcus is the last of five older siblings who graduated from VRHS.  Shown with Marcus are: (front row, left to right) Carolene Allen, mother; Marcus Allen, signee; Danny Allen, father; (back row, left to right) Adam Herring, VRHS principal; Attorney Harry Daniels, brother; and Mike Falleur, VRHS head football coach and athletic director.  Siblings not pictured are Tyswana Daniels-Jioia, Demetria Daniels-Clark, Dana Allen and Robyn Farris.

Mitchell Signs With Bluefield College

Hill Signs With Alcorn State University



Former Villa Rica High School Wildcat Orlandis Hill signs his Letter of Intent to continue his basketball career with Alcorn State University.  Orlandis enjoyed a rewarding senior year as a Wildcat, earning All-County MVP honors as well as being named first-team All-State in AAAA while winning his second MVP and Offensive Player of the Year Award, an honor he also received in the 2008 season.  In addition to these awards, Orlandis also led AAAA in three-point field goals made and was in the top five in the state of Georgia in scoring, field goal percentage and three-point percentage.  Shown with Orlandis are (front row, left to right) Kennedy Bailey, sister; Kimberly Bailey, mother; Mahogany Brown, girlfriend; Orlandis Hill, signee; and Vetia Holland, step-mother; (back row, left to right) Robbie Ridley, trainer; James Bailey, step-father; Jason Robinson, VRHS head basketball coach; Chauncey Hill, father; and Adam Herring, VRHS principal.

Hall Signs With Reinhardt University



Breanna Hall (front row, center) signs her Letter of Intent to continue her soccer career with Reinhardt University.  While at VRHS, Breanna has been a member of the Lady Wildcats track team and volleyball team, and she has been a four-year starter for the Lady Wildcats soccer team, serving as captain her senior year, as well as serving as captain of the cross country team.  Breanna is a member of the West Georgia Futbol Club in the Athena A Division, and she is a member of the Spanish Honor Society, the Spanish Club, the SGA, and the Beta Club.  In her senior year at VRHS, Breanna was chosen as 2012 Senior Class President, VRHS Homecoming Queen, and Miss VRHS by her classmates, as well as being recently crowned as the winner of the 2012 Miss Wildcat Pageant, where she also received the award for Most Photogenic.  While at Reinhardt, Breanna plans to study pre-med.  Shown with Breanna are (front row, left to right) Brenda Hall, mother; Breanna Hall, signee; and Ronnie Hall, father; (middle row, left to right) Adecia Pierce, sister; Coach Tidaback, Lady Wildcats Soccer head coach; and Coach Valentine; (back row, left to right) Coach Falleur, VRHS athletic director and Mr. Herring, VRHS principal.
