On Friday, August 26th, VRHS Head Football Coach Mike Falleur, Athletic Director Ronnie Parson, Athletics Secretary Tanya Hall, Wally the Wildcat, varsity football players Marcus Allen, Jonathan Clark, Jacob Turner, Martavious Marshall, Clayton Moore, and varsity cheerleaders Ansley Sudduth, Katie Younker, Ashlynn Jenkins, Cheyene Cox, and Caurye Quick visited Carrollton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center to spread some Wildcat Spirit. The players and cheerleaders spent the morning talking with the residents and decorating their halls, bringing enjoyment to both the students and the residents alike. Ms. Greta Ayers, the Activity Director of Carrollton Nursing & Rehab, has already called and asked that we make this an annual event, and the students were more than willing to agree. Some of the residents were VRHS alumni, and it was a great experience for them to see that the Wildcat Spirit is still alive and well, and it reminded all involved that WE ARE VR!!!
