As a native of Carrollton Ga., my love for the outdoors and fascination with the natural world was kindled in the wooded paths, tributary creeks, and pastures that make-up much of Carroll County. My Dad would take me, my brothers, and boys from our church on camp-outs where we constructed our own survival shelters and learned to notice the resources and beauty around us. This love for nature and fascination led me to pursue an education in Environmental Science, and I graduated from UWG in 2013 with my bachelor’s. Because I realized that sharing this passion was a natural extension, I quickly gravitated toward teaching, and I completed my Masters in Education from UWG in 2015.  I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of the Villa Rica High School community since January of 2015.
